What Causes A Lump Below The Incision Of Ovarian Surgery With Sharp Pain?

Had right ovary removed 2 weeks ago due to a large cyst close to 7cm. The incision on my left side has been open and draining, and I can feel a hard lump under it. I have sharp stabbing pain with movement on left side. It is a severe pulling stabbing sensation that takes my breath away. I had appt with surgeon and he didn t even address it despite me bringing it up 2 or 4 times. also have stabbing flank pain on and off. any idea what this could be ?

Welcome at HCM
I have gone through your query and being your physician i completely understand your health concerns.
what is ur age? For how long u are suffering from it? Any other associated problem? like diabetes ?
As this lump develop after the surgery and just two weeks been passed since surgery , In my opinion you should not be worried about it much as your wound is kept open to release pressure and providing passage for any collection of inflammatory fluid.
It is most probably to be inflammatory fluid collection which get resorbed on its own with the passage of time.
You should continue with your routine chores and mobilization is very important in ur case and do involve in physical activity......
The pain which u have described is muscular and is secondary to surgery . You just need to continue with your pain medicine and it take bit more time to heal and pain will disappear afterwards
Meanwhile stay calm and use acetaminophen to relieve pain
Get well soon
Hope your query is adequately addressed if you still have any feel free to ask
Regards
