I have a swollen bump or cyst or gland of some sort on the right side of my clitoris. This appeared about a week ago and just nown got big and painful. My last pap smear was done less then a yr ago and I have been with the same partner for almost 2 yrs. What could this be?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. What swollen lump you are complaining of having beside clitoris appears to be bacterial infection called 'carbuncle'. Kindly do the following to overcome it: 1. Wash the area thoroughly by using mild antiseptic like Savlon thrice a day. 2. After drying, apply Neomycin skin cream over the lesion. 3. Take Tablet. Ibuprofen twice a day after food. 4. Wear loose fitting undergarments and abstain from any form of sexual activities till the lesions heal completely. Take care to maintain good genital hygiene. Gradually, the lesions should heal completely. Hope the information provided would be helpful. Wish you good health.
