What Causes A Lump In Between The Anus And Vagina?
Hi I have a very small lump (not painful) between my vagina and anus. It s has been there many many many many years it s barley gotten any bigger at all! I ve never been worried about it and I m very insecure. Just recently I ve felt like I m getting worried about it. Could it be serious?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. What you are complaining of the non-painful lump which has remained silent in between the vaginal - anal region appears to be a dermoid or sebeceous cyst. It is not that serious condition, but there is a chance of it to get infected. Hence, it would be better you plan and get it excised. Make sure that you maintain good personal hygiene by washing the area with mild antiseptic solution like Povidine or Savlon. You need to take a course of oral antibiotics containing Amoxacillin and Clavalunic acid before or after excision. Excision is a simple day care surgical procedure which would be done under local anesthesia. Kindly consult Surgeon or Gynecologist for evaluation and management. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
