Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a healthy 27 yr old male and noticed a lump on my front groin area. It is small (size of a dime approx) but tender to the touch. The skin peeled on it a bit and I m wondering if it is possible that it is due to irritation from rubbing against my belt buckle? It does not appear to be an ingrown hair.
A groin lump is swelling in the groin area (where the upper leg meets the lower abdomen). It may be firm or soft, tender, or not painful at all. and most common causes r Allergic reaction Cancer Drug reaction Harmless (benign) cyst Hernia (a soft, large bulge in the groin on one or both sides) Infections in the legs Injury to the groin area Lipomas (harmless fatty growths) Sexually transmitted diseases such as genital herpes, chlamydia, and gonorrhea Swollen lymph glands in the groin area
