General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted the history of development of a circular bruise for the last two and half weeks, the bruise is fading away but the central lump is growing.
As per the history your have provided this appears to be an abscess or an infected sebaceous cyst that is now showing up.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Consult a General Surgeon preferably for examination.
If required an ultrasonography will help to know what the lump is about, the contents whether pus or sold and so on.
It may be advisable to have a proper course of an antibiotic, anti-inflammatory medications for 5 days to see the result.
Get operated if there is a definite lump that is not responding to medications.
This will help for a definite diagnosis and will help to get a cure too.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
