What Causes A Lump In The Middle Of The Back?

I have a small lump in mid back near spine. Recently it has been bothering me and now experiencing pain in the front in same area. I had my gall bladder removed years ago but pain is near there and feeling something in back. Not sure if they are associated or not. Any advice?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be a lipoma or other benign swelling. Consult a general surgeon and plan for an ultrasound scan. If there is diagnostic confusion additional investigations like fine needle biopsy may be required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
