What Causes A Lump In The Right Armpit From An Ingrown Hair?
Hi there, I have a lump in my right axilla size a bit bigger than a pea caused by a ingrown hair. The lump is a pocket of fluid built up. The hair is growing up the arm. I have discomfort in my arm muscle and cannot fully stretch my arm. Is it possible that the hair it wrapping around a tendon causing this pain? I ve had an ultra sound and biopsy. Waiting on results but with the fine needle used it will probably come can inconclusive. I was hoping the needle would of drained some of the fluid but it s still there and still hurts. Can I sterilze a needle and remove the hair follicle myself? Will it interior my tendon? Thank you Michelle

What Causes A Lump In The Right Armpit From An Ingrown Hair?
Hello, It could be an abscess or foreign body granuloma. Consult a general surgeon and plan for an ultrasound to make a diagnosis. Once the diagnosis is confirmed it has to be excised, Nothing to worry as it can be done under local anesthesia. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
