What Causes A Lump In The Vaginal Wall?

I have a bump in the vaginal side wall, when I went to the doctor today she cut into it but it was not filled with pus or liquid. She referred me over to a GYN doctor for follow up. She stated it may be a BCC, what can this possible be. I thought it was a Bartholin cyst
