What Causes A Lump On Left Side Of Head, Sore Throat And Severe Fatigue?

A lump just appeared on the left side of my head just above my ear. It is very tender to the touch and when touched it sends shooting pains through my head. I have also lost 30lbs, have a sore throat, soreness around my ear drum, and am extremely fatigued

Hi, i do care for your concern.
Your history suggest of abscess.
the swelling above the ear will be most probably an abscess,
sore throat suggest of infection due to streptococcus.
taking a course of antibiotic such as cefixime along with antacid for a full course of 7 days will definitely help you.
However loosing 30lbs suddenly needs an thorough investigation, i would advise to consult your ENT specialist to rule out middle ear pathology by doing audiogram endoscopy etc.. to rule out the cause if any, and do get intervention done at the early.
'Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
