What Causes A Lump On The Lower Back Along With Shoulder Pain?
I have a lump on my lower back approximately at the bottom of lower rib cage to the left of my spine. Saw dermatologist today (PA actually) and she said it didn t feel like a lipoma as it wasn t squishy enough. What else could it be? I have lots of thoracic back and shoulder pain and sometimes that area gets a spasm of pain. Worried it could be Cancer.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of lump on the lower back along with shoulder pain which is due to bacterial infection leading to strep throat. It can also occur due to viral infection like viral pharyngitis. The lump can occur due to lipoma or folicullitis . I would suggest you to maintain proper hygiene. You should take you take nasal decongestant sprays, antihistamines and antibiotic combination as infection is present. If condition doesn't get better then consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination and treatment .Apply warm compresses on lump . Take ibuprofen one tablet twice daily. Doctor may recommend physical therapy and prescribe muscle relaxant along with vitamin supplement or stretching exercises .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
