What Causes A Lump On The Side Between Ear And Shoulder?

I have had problems keeping food down this week, I have pcos and have recently found out it is precancerous I now have found a lump on the side of my neck that is very sore. Should this concern me or is it just a viral infection I should be worried about, Its not my lymp node behind my ear or jawline it is literally on the side of my neck between ear and shoulder.

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

This sounds a little concerning and should not be left alone. It might be an inflammation of this area however some cancerous lesion is also possible. That is why I suggest you to have an ultrasound of this area done at first and consult laryngologist.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
