Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was doing my daily activities. All of a sudden, a quarter size lump appeared on the side of my right temple I was looking in the mirror. I did not bump my head. I had no head injuries in the past. It took 3 days for the lump to go down and another two for the bruising to go away. Today my right eye is limp and seems sleepy like. Much different from the left. Do you think they have anything to do with each other? If so, what would cause ha lump to appear before my eyes when I didn t bump or injure my head?
It can be underlying soft tissue inflammation like cellulitis or hair follicle infection like folliculitis. If it had been lipoma or any benign growth these usually don't fade away spontaneously. If the eye lid is swollen it may or may not be related to old lesion. You should get it reviewed by an ophthalmologist to rule out any local infection. Also Urinalysis, albumin levels and thyroid profile may be needed to look for eye lids swelling due to any other cause.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
