Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I just found a lump on my 3 year old daughter s upper vagina. It s about the size of an almond, slightly bigger on the left side..... more on the bone. It seems a bit soft. It didn t seem to bother her when I pressed on it but I didn t press hard at all. Any idea what it could be?
About a lump in the upper vagina of a 3-year-old child. Do not worry, since it is painless and soft in nature. Usually, it could be cyst arising of gland like Bartholin. Treatment is simple at home warm bath twice or thrice a day. It will cure as the cyst drains out. Avoid tight clothes, use cotton panty. If you notice discharge of pus or blood from lump, report to gynecologist doctor, otherwise no need.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. G. L. Sharma, General Surgeon
