I have always had this small, perfectly rounded mole on my lower left leg. One day last July, it started to get irritated, either because I kept picking it out of habit or because I repeatedly shave over it when I shave. It wasn t a constant pain, just a sharp, sudden one that kind of made my foot twitch. The next day after I shaved and showered I examined it and watched the outside edge of it peel off. I instantly assumed I had skin cancer. My parents told me it was probably because I irritated it too much from constant and sudden picking and scratching. It hasn t bothered me since, and I ve totally forgotten about 7 months later. No other symptoms- no pain, redness, or bleeding. It s just a smaller version of the original, still rounded. I just don t know if that is normal for a mole to peel off like that?
