What Causes A Painful Blister On The Lower Lip Of A Child?
Hi my son is 6 years old as I was giving him a bath this evening I noticed that his bottom lip was covered in blister. He said his lips don t hurt but his throat does hurt some. I looked at his tongue and it has a white looking film on it. Had him brush his teeth and tongue but looks to be the same color. I didn t notice any of these thing this morning when. Getting him ready for school. Do I need to be concerned?
Hi. I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Its likely that your baby is suffering from oral thrush that is caused by Candida and it is very common in children. Some cases go away without medical treatment within a week or two, but i suggest you should consult your baby`s pediatrician he/she will have a look and will prescribe oral antifungal cream or drops like nystatin drops. And adding yogurt with lactobacilli to your child's diet. The lactobacilli are the "good" bacteria that can help eliminate the yeast in your child's mouth.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate to ask. I will be happy to answer your questions.
Wishing your baby good health.
