Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I got a bump (seem like a pimple) on the edge of my anus around one week ago, It is about haft inch length (I feel it gotten bigger) and not too soft when touch. It also hurt and irritated when touch or bowel movement. I would like to ask if I should apply natural treatment on it and how serious can it be?
I have gone through your question and it seems that you are having local inflammation of that area. If I was your treating physician I would recommend the following course of treatment: 1. Mupirocin cream to be applied locally on the lesion thrice a day after cleaning the area. 2. Lignocaine gel before and after passing stool. 3. Laxative syrup 2 tbsp at bedtime. 4. Sitz bath i.e to sit in a tub of warm water for 15 mins daily. 5. Increase the intake of fruits and vegetables and maintain a good hydration level.
If this lesion doesn't subside with this treatment for 1 week or the condition worsens please consult your local physician for clinical evaluation and further treatment accordingly.
I hope this answers your query. Please feel free to contact HCM again if you have any concerns. Wishing you good health.
