General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms can be related to arthritis. A physical examination and an X-ray of the hip is necessary to confirm the nature of the bump. I also suggest to consult a rheumatologist for further evaluation. Meanwhile, I suggest using non-inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen 400 mg to relieve the pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
