What Causes A Painful Dent On The Head?
My daughter is home from college and says she has found a dent in her head and it is sore to the touch. I took a flashlight to look and don t really see anything but I do feel the dent with my fingers and she flinched when I touched it. What could be causing this? She hasn t injured her head.

hi...a dent on head may be normal , may be structural problem ,may be due to old injury , infection or sinusitis.
so it is necessary to evaluate for any symptom or sign.. which may guide the treating doctor towards etiology of dent and subsequent good treatment for same.
as per your case she has flinching reaction while touching it is because of FEAR or PAIN . so please let her evaluate by neurophysician..take care
