What Causes A Painful Itchy Lump On The Breast?

I have a bump on my breast,I went to see some doctors one says it is a acne bump.one says it is a swollen lymph node, then another says it s a cyst. I don t know what to do.it itches and hurts.one doctor stuck a needle in it to see if puss would come out,and all that come out was blood and fluid.the woman that does the mammogram says she won t do the mammogram until I get it cleared up.what do you advise me to do?I don t know which way to turn. Thank you.Dianne Jones.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

If the lump is lasting for more than 2-3 weeks it may be a good idea to have an ultrasound examination. Ultrasound is a quick and easy examination that does not emit radiation and that gives a lot of information on lumps.

I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
