What Causes A Painful Itchy Red Rash Around The Nose?

I have a red itchy rash around my nose and now have some similar bumps near the corner of my eyes. The rash around my nose is red, painful and itchy. I have seen my doctor and he prescribed me cortisone 10 initially and now ketoconzole 2% cream but nothing is working. What is it?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You might be having some allergic rashes. Allergy can develop due to several reasons- some foods like egg, fish, pollen grains, animal hair, nylon, terylene clothes.

Just try to find out what you are allergic to and avoid it. Try home remedies. Apply coconut oil daily three times a day for one week.

If you still not better, consult a dermatologist. It can be fungal infection or eczema.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sanjay Kini
