What Causes A Painful Large Bulge Above The Navel?
hello... I discovered 2 days ago a baseball size bulge directly above my belly button it is not painful but when I press into it creates gas pains in my upper body and last time I had a bowel movement since Tuesday and it was painful and stool came in large balls... The bulge protrudes out and is kind of hard but when Iay down it becomes soft to the touch...can you point me in the right direction and suggest what I should do. Thank you..

You appear to have developed epigastric hernia,right treatment is herniorrhaphy I.e. surgery.till then keep it reduced in the abdomen by pressure and bandaging lest intestines are caught in it and become emergency surgery
