I have a painful lump above my buttocks but below my back, at the start of where the butt crack is. It hurts to sit or stand or even lay on it. At night as I cant sleep from the pain, if I get up, I feel dizzy and go blind for a few seconds. Ive been so tired and have felt fatigued everywhere. Please help. I don t want to go to the doctors because its so embarrassing

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain a painful lump above the buttocks but below the back at the beginning of butt crack that is painful seems to be most commonly due to Pilonidal cyst and it seems that it has got infected leading to pain and fatigue and turned into a Pilonidal abscess..
It is formed due to traumatic injury in that region, ingrown hairs, infection etc..

I would suggest you to consult a Proctologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation is generally sufficient for diagnosis..
The physician can advise you to surgical treatment as medications generally does not resolve the cyst and you can be advised to get treatments like Enucleation or Marsupilization done to resolve the cyst followed by a course of antibiotics and painkillers..
As of now you can take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, Naproxen or Diclofenac to relieve pain..
Do cool compresses..
Avoid long hours sitting..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
