It faded, now a month later a dark brown spot appeared where bruise was, it had a lump under it and hurt him when we pressed on it. General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the painful lump with bruised spot on lower stomach is most likely a sequence of bug bite episode. There is no need to visit an ER, as this can be easily managed at home till morning doc visit:
- Local application of ice
- Avoid tight clothing
- Dispersible tablet or syrup of ibuprofen with Acetaminophen

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
