Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor services.
I have read your query and here is my advise.

* The painful lump on uvula is most likely related to secondary
bacterial infection via staph or streptococcus most likely.

A culture swab of the area would give best prediction of type of infection and needed therapy ahead to cure it.

Till that time, gargles with salted lukewarm water added epsom salt is best recommended.

Should avoid intake of aerated drinks, dairy items till recovery.

Thanks.
Regards.
