What Causes A Painful Lump On The Vagina?

I am developing a bump on my vagina. It hurts when I wipe from using the bathroom. I saw someone about it over a year ago and she said it was a ph imbalance ? She said I have a rash or discoloration of the area and prescribed estrogen cream and testosterone cream to apply. One at night and one in the morning. Now that I have another one, I am looking for what it s called so that I can research it more.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Thanks for your question. I am Dr Asanghanwa Carlson. A lump on your vagina is not a normal finding and should call for concern. I advise you consult a gynaecologist as soon as possible so you are examined so a biopsy of the lump is done for analysis so that appropriate management can be prescribe and administered. A lump on the vagina could either be a benign(non cancerous) or a malignant(cancerous) tumour and only proper examination and a biopsy by a gynaecologist can confirm this. Early diagnosis is key to the management. I therefore recommend a quick consultation with a medic. Good luck.
