Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve recently discovered a rash along the outer part of my vaginal area like my inner thigh. I did change my pads and tampons to scented because I like the smell. I had a well woman s check up while the rash was there. My doctor told me my cervix was good and to use Replensh for the dryness. What can I use for the rash?
The rash on outer part of vagina involving inner thigh, could be related to abrasion from panty line or else. General measures to get well soon would be: - Sterile dressing or application of neosporin cream - Avoid tight undergarments or jeans - Antiseptic cleansing - Avoid itching or use anti histamine as benadryl or others - Control of blood sugar - Avoid prolong use of same tampon
Be in regular follow up with your doc for recovery aspects.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
