hi thank you for writing to us;
brief answer : Thrombosed external pile (hemorrhoids) or an anal abcess
Detailed answer: Red color balls/ lumps coming out of the anus are commonly piles. Eventhough they appear suddenly it might be there for some period without your notice. Usually piles are not that painful unless it get thrombosed. I don't think the reason for sudden appearance is taking fish items. If you have
severe pain it also may be an anal
abscess which also can suddenly appears. An anal, or rectal, abscess occurs when a cavity in the anus becomes filled with pus. In addition to extreme pain, the abscess can cause
fatigue, rectal discharge, and
fever. In some cases, anal abscesses can result in painful anal fistulas. This occurs when the abscess fails to heal and breaks open on the surface of the skin. If an anal abscess doesn’t heal properly, it can cause a lot of pain and ultimately require surgery.
If you don't have an abscess and it may be due to piles you can apply some
betamethasone ointment for symptomatic relief. However if its due to an abscess it may require surgery as mentioned earlier.
rarely anal/ rectal carcinoma also can present like this. But don't worry if it's the case, commonly you should have altered bowel habit/ loss of weight/ loss of appetite for some period. hope the answer is useful. Thank you.
