I was reaching to pick something up and I felt a snap like a rubber band inside below my right breast under my arm and within the hour it was hurting real bad. It is very uncomfortable to sleep etc. l also had the same type of snap happen several months ago in the knee just from crawling into bed. It was painful to the touch for along time and now there is a lump there. What is this?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

I can understand your concern for the painful snapping sensation like a snapping rubber under your arm.

After analyzing your query with best diligence it appears to be related to formation of lipoma in your case. It is quite typical for a lipoma to follow a short to variable degree of pain and then forma a lump over the affected area.

I suggest you to meet a surgeon and get yourself analyzed for the same. you can take a pain killer such such as paracetamol for a time being period.

All the best.
