What Causes A Painless Bruise On The Breast?

Hi, so this red splotch appeared on my breast a few days ago and at first I was really worried that it might be inflammatory breast cancer but now it's turned into a kinda purple color. It's about the size of a quarter, right above my nipple, and there's been no pain or itchiness (though maybe a bit sore at times). Do you think I should get it checked out or as it just probably a bruise or a bug bite?

hi.

it is best if you consult with a doctor, preferably a general or a breast surgeon, for medical and physical examination. based from your description, it could be any benign breast lesion or an inflammatory reaction. it could also be other tumor lesions. these lesions are best evaluated clinically. further diagnostic examinations, such as breast ultrasound and mammography, will be requested as needed. regular breast examination and follow-up with your doctor is highly recommended in these cases. management (medical and/or surgical) will be directed accordingly.
