What Causes A Painless Hard Lump Under The Skin Of Penis?
Hi, I just noticed a hard protrusion under the skin on the right side just under the head of the penis. It s not causing me any pain but it does feel tingly. I believe I ve been feeling the tingle there for several months now, but only now has there been anything physical along with it. It s about an inch long and goes from the top right side around to the bottom right side. It feels a bit hard, but is pliable. It seems to get a little bigger when erect. It s not occurring at all on the opposite side of the penis. Other functionality seems unaffected. The only thing I can think of that might matter at all with this is heavy weightlifting and/or possibly increased occasions of masturbation. Any ideas?
Yes, the symptoms that you are describing fits that of Peyronie's disease. This is a disease of the penile tissue which forms plaques (thick bumps) as you have mentioned, and can lead to deformity of the penis. I suggest consulting with your GP about a urologist referral.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Maria Riechel-Sarup, General & Family Physician
