What Causes A Paralyzed Sensation In The Leg While On Gupisone And Zantac?
hi my name is homa 2 weeks a go i had a very bad allergy hives reaction in my body, doctor prescription as Gupisone 20 and zantac. after 2 days skin redness and swelling was better but i had serous pan into my muscles. I was not able to move my legs and so much pain on my arms. after using brofen the pain has gone. I was almost paralyzed on my leg. Please advice if it could be side effects of those medicine?
Based on the history you have shared, you should immediately meet the prescribing physician as with gupisome which is a steroid proximal myopathy is a known complication so should be worked up. Also baseline LDH, CPK levels may be needed along with sugar and thyroid levels. Careful motor examination of upper and lower limbs is also needed. Levels of B12 folic acid and D3 should also be done to look for other causes of weakness. Treatment should be based on the cause and results of initial work up.
Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
