Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had had a persistNT RASH ON MY GROIN FOR A NUMBER OF MONTHS. UNRELATED TO INCONTINENCE. I have taken fluconazole about 3 or 4 times, each time almost entirely getting rid of it., but not quite, then it would come back. I also used a cream Nystatin/triamcinolone which seem to help a little, but I still have it and can t get rid of it.
The site you have mentioned suggest toward fungal infection in groin region. Post photo, if possible, to give more comments. For that fungal infection complete course of Fluconazole should be taken. Topical Terbinafine or Clotrimazole will be more helpful in early improvement.
Keep that area clean. Avoid moist in groin area. Wear loose underclothes. Wear clean and dry clothes. Antifungal medicated soap is also useful. Consult dermatologist for examination and further discussion.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Parth Goswami
