I ve been diagnosed with Sweets Syndrome However I ve had this same sore in my ear for over 3 yrs. I ve read up on Winklers Disease and that describes my symptoms to a T. What kind of treatments is best To clear this up once and for all mfdhowk@yahoo,com
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of persistent sore in the ear ,which is probably due to ear infection or due injury of ear drum. I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like otoscopy, x ray etc can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly. You can be advised to take a course of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, decongestants like Phenylephrine and nasal decongestant spray containing Xylometazoline. In case if still it does not resolve surgical drainage of ears can be done.
