What Causes A Pink Rash On The Arm?

My daughter had a quarter sized smooth pink rash appear on her arm 6 days ago. No pain, no recollection of any bites or burns, it looked like a burn. It had a very thin layer of peeling occur a couple days ago. Now it is bright red, still smooth but raised and itchy. What could it be?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello there,
Sounds like some form of infection or allergy.
I suggested you get it reviewed by the concerned doctor / dermatologist for correct evaluation and treatment.
If there is itching I suggest start oral anti allergic medications and maybe some steroidal cream over the area after getting reviewed by the doctor.
Also in the interim ask her to use mild hypoallergic moisturising soap/ body wash during shower.
Hope that helps!
