Hi doctor. I have had bleeding while I was pregnant in 2014, even ended up with a miscarriage and was diagnosed with a fibroid. Since last year in February been bleeding drastically for weeks sometimes for months non stop. The doctors tried hormonal treatments but they never helped. A few days back I went to the toilet and I felt something blocking my vagina, tried to push it out but it couldn t come out. On my way to the hospital I went back in side me. The doctors said it was a polyp. Want to know what may hv been the cause of it falling off.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Polyps are non-cancerous lesions which could arrise from uterus or cervix, protruding into vagina. Its presenve is assoviated with abnormal menstruation. It needs to be assessed by means of per speculum examination and ultrasound scan of abdomen, following which it needs tonne removed by means of surgical excision. Kindly consult Gynecologist for proper evaluation and management. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
