What Causes A Popping Sound And Soreness In The Lower Back Upon Lifting Heavy A Object?

I was trying to help lift something heavy (with another person) I was bent over and felt a pop in my lower back. There was a short shoot of pain when it happened but I have not had internal pain since then. But if I touch my lower center back it feel sore. Could I have just pulled a muscle?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, the history and the symptoms could be suggestive of disk herniation and it need to be ruled out with MRI test till then you need to have complete bed rest and NSIAD can be tried and best drug would "Tab Diclofenac 50 mg" once in day, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
I find this answer helpful
