What Causes A Pulsating Sensation On The Skull?

So I have from time to time. A pulsing feeling on the side of my skull. Both sides and not always in the same place. Sometimes for a few minutes at a time back and forth on each side. Usually above my ears or around temple. No pain at first. But in evenings a slight feeling of pressure when it occurs in bed. Some it s random. Also a twitching feeling in lower legs and calfs from time to time. Not in arms though. It happens mostly if I m sitting down or laying.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your symptoms seem to be related to migraine. Migraines cause intense throbbing or pulsing pain on one or both sides of the head. Also changes in blood pressure can cause this sensation. I suggest you to measure regularly the blood pressure and do a neurological examination to confirm the cause of your symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
