What Causes A Pus Filled Red Blister On Toe?

I have a small bright red blister on my toe. It has a yellow head on it as puss must be inside. It doesn t itch or hurt but it has gotten darker and more pronounced as the day has gone on. I don t know if it s a bug bite or a shoe blister. It s strange that it s changed colour. Can you help?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pus filled red blister on toe. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like ill fitted shoe , material of socks or previous developed callus . I would suggest you to not to wear shoe for few days , keep your foot in hot water tub with espom salt for 15 minutes daily and consult podiatrist if condition doesn't getting well . Doctor will examine physically . Doctor may prescribe antifungal , anti inflammatory along with orthotics to relieve the pressure from particular site on foot . For now take proper rest .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
