What Causes A Raised Area On The Forehead?

I started out several days ago with a raised area, about the size go a quarter on my forehead. It itched and hurt at the same timer. Now, the left side of my scalp, my left eye and left ear hurt. The red area is still the same and my husband says I have what looks like a blister on my scalp. Could this be shingles? There is no rash. I also have a headache.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

Most probably it may be shingles also called herpes zoster. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment. I would recommend you to take antiviral like acyclovir, steroid in tapering dose and antiinflammatory and pain killer like tramadol in proper doses under doctor's supervision. You should take bed rest for two weeks.

Hope this helps.
