I had safe sex (with a condom) with a now ex about 2 weeks ago, i just discovered was cheating. I noticed a small hard bump on my labia majora. It is uniform and feels like a ball under my skin, i pricked it with a pin and white pus and blood came out. I m covering it with an antibiotic cream. There is only one spot, raised, about the size of a pea and not really painful unless i squeeze it. It is in an area that i shave and would be prone to irritation. Is this an ingrown hair or something more serious?
Hi there, I have understood your concern and I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.
First of all do not panic.
From your description it looks like some kind of abscess. Please don't handle it on your own. Please seek prescription support from your treating doctor for a broad spectrum antibiotic containing Amoxicillin and Clavulinic acid two times a day for 5 days and analgesic like Paracetamol as needed for the pain and swelling. Local application of ointment containing antibacterial and antifungal and mild steroid agents is advisable. Use of Lactic acid containing vaginal wash during bath time is advisable. Please observe local hygiene.Keep private parts clean and dry.
I hope this answer helps you. Thanks. Dr. Purushottam Neurgaonkar
