What Causes A Rash Behind The Arm After Unprotected Intercourse?
Hello, I was wondering if you could tell me if I should put my mind at ease or if I should still worry? I had unprotected sex with a woman at a work conferance. about 11 days later I deleloped a rash on the back of my arms which lasted aprox 10 days. when to the doctor in a panic, was tested with gen4 HIV test 24 days after the unprotected sex, came back negative. 3 months and 1 week after the unprotected sex I did an at home OraQuick test and that also came back negative. a little over 4 months after the un protected sex and with no other possibility of being exposed to HIV and knowing i was out of the window period I donated blood at a work blood drive. It has been 6 months since then and I have only got thank you phone calls and phone calls asking me to donate blood again from the donation center. Should I let my mind rest?
however, unprotectected sex is not only about HIV. other sexually tramitted infection bacterial or virus are also at risk for transmission.eg. syphilis.which may remain latent for periods .so if any rashes develop in body, screening test should be done.
since last six month, you dont have any other symptoms and HIV sero negative till , it is quite less possibility of having any other infection too.
