What Causes A Rash On The Stomach While Suffering From Cold?

My 6 year old daughter has had a cough and runny/stuffy nose since Monday. She now has a rash on her stomach. Is this related and should I be concerned. She also had some yellow drainage in both eyes yesterday. I gave her some cold and cough medicine the first few days of her cough and gave her some tobramycin eye drops yesterday. I haven t given her any medicine today. I am not sure whether I should bring her into the doctor or not.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It looks like viral infection. Morbilli is possible if she is not vaccinated to it. There are no specific tests to confirm it, just clinical presentation and blood tests. Doctor will examine the mouth for Koplic spots.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
