What Causes A Red Blotch On Nose Bridge After Having A Bad Cough?
I have had a bad cough for 3 Months. The first three weeks were very traumatic and I saw a doctor and was given antibiotics which didn t help. I waited 3 weeks and saw another doctor who said my sinuses were inflamed and gave me a nasal spray and also an inhaler for my chest to stop the coughing. No help. I keep having mucus running down my throat and cough mostly in the morning. Two days ago a large red blotch developed on the bridge of my nose. Crazy. Why?
Hi. I can understand your concern. Chronic cough is commonly seen in bronchitis and lung infection. Get a chest x ray done if it is normal, no need to worry for lung infection. Possibility of bronchitis is more in your case. So better to consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test). PFT is needed for the diagnosis of bronchitis. It will also tell you about severity of the disease and treatment of bronchitis is based on severity only. You may need inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS). Also try steam inhalation and saline nasal douches. Don't worry, you will be alright. Hope I have solved your query. Wish you good health. Thanks.
