What Causes A Red Bump Inside The Eyelid?

I had a painful sty that developed on the inside of my bottom eyelid about 10 days ago and popped the next day. The pain went away, however, there is still a red painless bump on the inside of my eyelid where the sty was. My vision hasn t ever been affected by it. Should I be concerned or how long will this take to go away?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It is due to local infection and inflammation.
You can take NSAID like Advil twice a day to reduce the inflammation (post meals). Instil Gentamycin drops thrice a day to hasten up the recovery. Wash eyes with cold water many a time in a day and maintain hygiene.
It would disappear in next 3 to 4 days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
