What Causes A Red Bump On The Right Tonsil Of A Baby?
My son s pediatrician noticed a red bump on my 9 month old sons right tonsil. This past weekend he started crying every time he drank something and wouldn t eat. So I can tell it hurts him. He also had a fever and runny nose, I dismissed it as teething.. what could be going on?
Understanding your concern. As per your query your baby have red bump on the right tonsil . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to many reasons like for tonsillitisstrep throat , viral pharyngitis and allergic reaction. Sometimes when tonsillitis persist for long time there may be bleeding in tonsils , injury to tonsil or allergic reaction . You should avoid intake of cold carbonated beverages and avoid hot, sharp and spicy foods. I would suggest you to consult pediatrician for proper examination . Doctor may order throat swab test , viral culture test and allergy test . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics , anti allergic , anti inflammatory .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
