What Causes A Red Chemical Burn On The Face Due To Toothpaste?
Hi! i am stressing out... I put toothpaste on a pimple to get rid of it and usually when I do this the pimple will go away... this time not only did the pimple go away but it has left a red mark (I am guessing it is a burn from the toothpaste) what cream/ solution would you recommend i use to get rid of it ASAP!! ps. its not that red now it has sort of faded a little?
The symptoms seem to be related to a dermatitis caused by the contact with the toothpaste. I suggest to use an antihistamine such as Cetirizine 10 mg daily to relieve the inflammation. I also suggest to use aloe vera gel for local application.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
