What Causes A Red Lump On The Scalp?

Hi I noticed red lump growing on my scalp, n it seems to be there from about a month. recently experiencing head ache, consulted general dr, n he said it s hemangioma n have to be removed. The lump s painful n is about 4-5mm in size. I m female , 28yrs of age. Can u pls suggest what s the best treatment for this? Can it be cured through medicines?

It could be an abscess or folliculitis.
Consult a general surgeon and get evaluated.
