What Causes A Red Patch On The Left Arm?

Hi. I have a small, red oval patch on the underside of my upper left arm. I didn t even notice it until about a week or so ago. It is a bit larger now and stings just a little sometimes. No known bite, nothing has scraped my arm, no clue what his is.

Hi.
As per your case history you are having a fungal infection called as tinea corporis.
My treatment advice is -
1. Maintain good hygiene and bath twice daily. Keep your belongings separate as it is a contagious disease.
2. Apply an antifungal cream like clotrimazole cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine for itching.
4. Other treatment options are oral fluconazole, itraconazole and terbinafine taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
Dr. Harshit bhachech.
