What Causes A Red Spot On The Upper Leg?
i have a friend who had a small spot on his upper leg that went a small speck to a quarter size. was red and warm to touch. he is now an inpatient at a local hospital. What brought him in to the Er, he had a temp of 102 and could not stop shaking. all x-rays, us, blood panels , tick panels are normal.

Are there any joints pains and rashes?
Have you checked him for Dengue and chikungunya fever? If these are negative, has he had any recent throat infection? If yes then it may be a case of scarlet fever too.
Till then keep him hydrated on IV fluids and control his fever with NSAIDs.
