What Causes A Reddish Line On The Buttock?

Hi, There is an approx 2 red line at the top of my bum crack (where the cheeks start) and it goes down to the hole, but not actually on the hole itself. It s not sore in any way, but looks unsightly if I bend over. My skin is VERY fare, and that is the only reason I can think of why it s a red colour because of moisture and sweat throughout the day, so it gets hot. Is this anything I should be worried about? And is there a way to get rid of it? Thanks

Hello,

The red line could be due to accumulation of sweat leading to softening and hyperemia of the skin. I suggest you to use cotton undergarments which allow drying of the sweat fast. In addition, you can use talcum powder to keep the region dry.

Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri
